Delete Your MateFate Account

Delete it in the app

1. Open MateFate and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap the settings icon in the top right corner, then Delete account.
3. Confirm by tapping Delete.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Can't open the app?

Email [email protected] from the email address you use for MateFate, with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed in with Apple or Google, tell us which one. We will confirm the request and delete your account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account and login details. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke MateFate's access to your Apple ID.
• Your profile, photos and the options you chose, such as interests and languages
• Your location
• Your conversations and messages, including photos sent in them (they are removed for the other person too)
• Your moments, comments and likes on moments
• Your likes, matches and profile visits
• Your photo verification selfies
• Your blocks, notification settings and subscription status

What is kept

• Reports of safety violations and the message excerpts attached to them, and the records of our team's moderation decisions, with your account removed from the record. We keep these to prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
• A record of a photo verification fee purchase (the product and transaction identifier), without your account, so the same purchase cannot be used twice.
• Purchase records held by Apple, Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat, under their own policies.
• Backups and logs, which are overwritten on a rolling basis, normally within 30 days. Copies of public photos cached by our content delivery network expire within 7 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel MateFate Pro. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings so you are not charged again.
